Nomads & Vagabonds is a pseudonymous artist whose two-decade career has spanned video production, documentary filmmaking, 3D animation and digital image editing. Over the past four years his practice has turned to using artificial intelligence to evoke nuanced emotional responses, drawing on his upbringing in Middle America to probe the surreal, comical or unsettling within ordinary life.
He holds a law degree specializing in technology and digital copyright, and worked previously in advertising, branding and hospitality entrepreneurship before turning to art. In May 2025 he released Soft Collapse, a 1-of-1-of-101 edition launched through his own site SoftCollapse.xyz. The title borrows a term from architecture describing gradual structural failure, used here as shorthand for the slow-motion breakdown of economic, social and existential systems.
