no hygiene (b. 1994) is an anonymous digital artist whose work combines internet memes, body horror and AI-generated imagery into images that resist easy explanation. The alias comes from his master's thesis on Georges Bataille's ideas of formlessness and eroticism, which he combined into the phrase no hygiene.,He continues doctoral research on the limits of form at Anadolu University's Department of Sculpture.
With Smells Like Protein, a 250-work blind-mint series on drop.art, he treats the body as raw material where flesh, meat and internet culture collapse into one another. He has described his approach as driven by excess and repetition rather than originality, an interest he traces to Bataille's writing on formlessness. Before turning to AI tools, his practice centered on VR, 3D modeling and site-specific installation. He has since shifted almost all of his focus to AI-generated imagery.
His work has been included in Fakewhale's “ART MARKET” series on Foundation, debuting in its July 2024 lineupand returning that September for “ART MARKET: The State of Digital Humanism”.He is also among the 137 artists credited in Kate Vass Galerie's Collecting Art Onchain, a book and NFT project pairing collector interviews with a generative artwork by Manoloide.,Collector Dagie Dee has named him among the artists he follows closely.
