Bio

Nico Arbogast (b. 1984) creates visual works with code, exploring the limits of perception and how abstraction shapes our understanding of reality. He began exploring creative coding and generative art in 2020, and minted his first work on hicetnunc in May 2021.^, The generator behind it, an animated SVG piece influenced by Yayoi Kusama's polka dots, was minted on Teia as Dots 1.0.1 in June 2022.

Born in Paris in 1984, he lives and works in Mallorca, Spain. Between October 2024 and January 2025 he released the fxhash series adroste and energomorphy and the EditArt series subpixel 1.0.1 and yrtemmys.^,^,^,^,

In 2025 he made Light Waltz, a single-channel video that animates Gaussian splats generated from a 3D scan into shimmering, oscillating particles. The piece is set to a piano melody that evolves into an electronic waltz, composed and produced by the artist himself.
