nicedayJules, who goes by Jules, is an artist whose work addresses contemporary human concerns of time, beauty, love and loss. The practice moves between physical material, analog glitch processes and on-chain logic, translating tangible source material into hypnotic digital renders.
Each piece in the ongoing series Objective Theory begins with something tangible from the real world, a physical object, body part or specific location, captured through a performative process of documentation and then translated into a slow, hypnotic glitch. Objective Theory has been shown at Scope Art Fair during Miami Art Week in 2023. The Flowers Project treats each flower as a physical object individually sourced, staged and photographed, then distorted through a custom CRT circuit-bending setup. The resulting digital works are wired to Chainlink's ETH/USD oracle, comparing Ether's price to the previous day's, so that a decline rather than a rise sets each piece's final state. The Garden extends this series by inviting other artists, including Olivia Pedigo and CYDR, to reinterpret the original flowers, with each new token bound on-chain to its source.
