_NESVA, the alias of Nestor Vassallo, is an Argentine illustrator and graphic designer based in Buenos Aires.He makes illustrated and animated NFT series inspired by the flora, fauna and folklore of the southern hemisphere, among them Arches, a collection of illustrations set in mystic southern landscapes.
Blooming, from 2021, reinterprets Fileteado Porteño, the ornamental sign-painting tradition of Buenos Aires, through floral ornaments and vernacular imagery.The following year he made Ancient Tech, imagining alternative worlds and civilizations through retro science-fiction imagery built around nature as a recurring motif.In 2023 he produced concept illustrations for the music videos GTA, by Emilia Mernes, and Serotonina, by Khea, both under the art direction of Julia Conde,and worked as a freelance illustrator for the digital publications Revista Anfibia and Fundar.He later minted the animated series Summer Memories on the Tezos NFT platform Objkt.com,and has contributed comics and cover art to Sloth, a monthly collaborative comic zine published within the Tezos NFT community.
