gabriel.nebular, known as nebülar, is an artist based in Mar del Plata, Argentina, who works across analog and experimental video, photography and sound.,The work traces “distorted signals, shifting echoes” between stillness and motion, presence and memory, treating noise and unpredictability as part of the image rather than an accident to correct.
Before working in photography and video, gabriel.nebular spent fifteen years in music there, teaching production, DJing, and composing for films, games and bands. Photography began as a family habit with a compact camera before becoming an experimental practice, and video came last, built from analog mixers and hand-modified processors researched to behave unpredictably. gabriel.nebular describes the practice as curiosity-driven and self-taught, moving across mediums and disciplines without a fixed destination.
In October 2023, gabriel.nebular's work HéCΛ†3 was featured in the “AFK expo” at MaMa Zagreb, part of the fubar exhibition project.In October 2025, gabriel.nebular took part in “Protocol Decay: Marfa 2025”, a group show for 35 artists held in a church venue in Marfa, Texas during Artblocks Weekend and curated by Max Capacity.
