Moonsundiamond is a Zimbabwean multidisciplinary artist based in British Columbia, Canada, whose work is marked by color, the expressiveness of line, and a brut treatment of form, depicting “a reality in the unreal, in dreams, and unplaces”.,In the artist's own words, the practice centers on human emotion and mind states, illustrated through form, colour, texture, and mark-making.
In November 2021, Moonsundiamond's Standard Blues sold for 2.75 ETH, about $12,400, an artist record set on the first day of the “Reloading…” NFT auction at ART X Lagos, co-curated by Osinachi.In January 2022, she exhibited with Cyberbaat, a DAO collective of artists of African descent, in the group show “Cyber Baat” at Art Dubai.In June 2023, her work featured in “In/Visible”, a group show at Feral File curated by Linda Dounia examining AI's biases in representing humanity, alongside artists including Jah. and Minne Atairu.
