Michael B. Stuart is a photographer and generative artist working under the name Stu Stu Studio. He has published more than 150 articles for the photography education site Fstoppers. He also sells his photography as NFTs on Foundation and as prints through Fine Art America, while his wife Nicole Stuart contributes portrait photography to the same site.
Much of his generative work responds to the CC0 6529 Memes ecosystem, one of the longest-running open-edition NFT projects. Memescapes: Ode to 6529 turns those meme assets into an animated, CRT-styled metaverse cityscape, deployed across Ethereum and the layer-2 networks Base and Shape. He has built other generative collections as tributes to existing formats: Stupepens reworks the Opepen format, and nodevvorthy, billed as an “ode to full set”, takes its cue from Jack Butcher.
