Mical Noelson is a London-raised digital artist of English and Caribbean heritage who has lived and worked in Berlin since 2012. He studied art and design at Camberwell College of Arts, then Chelsea College of Art, mentored by Angela de la Cruz and Jeffrey Dennis. After leaving art school, he spent seven years pursuing music before turning to blockchain art in 2021, crafting AR objects and digital paintings.
In 2019 he showed the series All lines begin with straight lines in a duo exhibition with Carolina Echeverri at TRBL Projects, a body of large-scale paintings layered with notes from science reports, crime investigations, star-gazing forums, murder riddles and Greek mythology.
As part of a residency cohort at VerticalCrypto Art, an artist-first community founded in July 2020, he collaborated with the artist BoryaXYZ on a custom metaverse build inspired by outdoor festivals such as Burning Man for a fundraising auction supporting the residency's next cohort. In December 2021 he exhibited at Despace Berlin as part of a group show curated by Diane Drubay. One of his AR pieces, ''What if I don't want to be a hologram after I die?'', was minted on OBJKT and later acquired through the VerticalCrypto Art Auction House in January 2022.A tweet from Noelson proposing a shared fund to pool and split resale revenue among multiple artists inspired the Tezos developer gorillasun.eth to build a working version using TEIA's collaboration contracts, an early contribution to revenue-sharing tools in the Tezos NFT community.
In August 2026 his work was included in the group exhibition “STILL WET” at Galerie Met in Berlin, curated by Kika Nicolela and Ruizhe Liang in collaboration with objkt.com.
