Bio

Jonathan Quintin, an English designer who works under the name MBSJQ, ran a design studio that worked with brands including Intel, Uber, and Google before moving into digital art. In October 2020 he entered the NFT space with his debut drop Astro & the Universe on Nifty Gateway, introducing his recurring character Astro. His work combines pastel and neon color against darker backgrounds with rounded, fluid 3D forms.

His first SuperRare mint, Tea and Reflection, sold for 4 ETH in late 2020. He later made Never Forget as a tribute to a friend, which sold for $120,000 on SuperRare, his highest sale at the time. He also released Dirty Dancing on Foundation.

In 2021 he showed Until Tomorrow in “Transformations” at Unit London, a group exhibition whose works were sold through the Institut platform. That year he also took part in “Virtual Niche”, an exhibition curated by Robert Alice at UCCA Lab in Beijing, alongside artists including Beeple and Pak.

In 2023 he was selected as one of the artists for the “Alotta Money Charity Exhibition and Auction”, organized by Trevor Jones in aid of Maggie's. That year he also appeared on the cover of NFT Magazine. His work has been offered for sale through the auction house Phillips.
