Maxwell Karlan studied economics at the University of Chicago and has been active in NFT and cryptocurrency markets since 2021. In 2022 he co-founded Kutoa Capital, a digital asset investment firm focused on NFTs and cryptocurrencies, with his father, economist Dean Karlan.¹
