MasterOnChain is a multidisciplinary artist and designer whose work embeds image and text data directly into the Bitcoin and Ethereum blockchains, creating fully on-chain artworks concerned with permanence, provenance and digital identity.,He is the creator of the EVAS and ONCHAINART series, minimalistic Bitcoin-based collectibles issued through the Counterparty protocol before the arrival of Ordinals.
Before moving into blockchain-based work, MasterOnChain spent more than 25 years in web design, graphic design and new-media art, winning first prize at the International Festival for Balkan Art – Terminal00 in 2005 for the generative art poster series Search Patterns.,In January 2022 he began issuing EVAS, 100 minimalistic images embedded directly into Bitcoin UTXOs through Counterparty protocol multisig transactions. He followed this in February 2023 with ONCHAINART, a six-work collection built using EVAS as its base, with both series embedding their image data on Bitcoin before the arrival of Ordinals.,His IMMUTABLES series, also released on Bitcoin Stamps, presents AI-generated portraits of non-existent people in custom dithering patterns, minted through a mechanism in which the collector co-signs the minting transaction alongside the artist.
On Ethereum, his project Rooted in Code began with three static Genesis works and 57 curated fully on-chain Roots layering AI-generated fragments of non-existing people with pixel structures, animation and glitch effects. It later expanded into a generative contract collection, Rooted In Code: Gen II, in which each on-chain piece combines AI-generated facial fragments with hand-drawn elements referencing figures such as XCOPY and Alotta Money.,In the series Inflection Points, five fully on-chain 1/1 works are rendered by a custom smart contract drawing on the visual language of Rooted in Code. Each piece begins in an abstract state and moves through four states of perception, responding to the wallet that holds it while remaining the same work. Their titles and traits are drawn from market language — pressure, uncertainty, collapse, adaptation and change — and although AI assisted with code, structure and iteration, the initial idea, vision and final artistic decisions remained his own.His work has featured in group exhibitions including “INFINITE_LOOP”, curated by Beeple at NODE Foundation in Palo Alto in 2026, and “GLITCHTOBER”, curated by COMPUTERBLOOD in 2025.
