Martcellia Liunic (b. 1989) is a Jakarta-based illustrator and art director whose work combines playful, abstract shapes with whimsical animals and girl characters rendered in a bold, lively color palette. At the heart of her practice is a desire to heal her inner child, creating art that brings joy. She also runs her own art label, Liunic on Things, which turns her illustrations into playful, wearable accessories.
Her style has drawn collaborations with brands including H&M, Samsung, Google, YouTube, Netflix and Facebook, and her illustrations have appeared in Society of Illustrators 65 Jury Selections, It's Nice That and Frankie Magazine. Liunicland, a character-based universe told through toys, stories and visual narratives, explores big feelings and everyday struggles for adults who never wanted to grow up.
