Mariana Ju is an Argentine artist who trained as an architect before turning to digital collage.,Her work gravitates toward symmetry, rhythm, and structure drawn from that training, while also pushing back against it through intuitive, poetry-founded collage made with the drawing tool KidPix.,
She studied fine arts and architecture together during her first year at university, then continued with architecture alone. While completing her degree she co-founded a small lab working with electronic waste and robotics to build devices, using collective, non-academic creation to bring women and dissidents into technology. She began making digital collages and animations privately during this period, later entering crypto art through the platform Hic et Nunc.
Her collages combine pixelated imagery with architectural and urban references. One recurring image in her work — pixelated roses erupting into gamified city streets — was inspired by the idea of a monster smashing up old buildings that represent negative beliefs and anxious thoughts.She cites the architects Zaha Hadid and Luis Barragán as influences on her use of composition, light, and color.,In 2025 her ACTZ Commissions piece Recuerdo reworked a SketchUp model of an unbuilt university project into a Photoshop collage paired with poetry.That same year her Digital Collage series, made entirely with KidPix and grounded in short poems, was included in the Tezos Art Review Pixel Art Anthology alongside work by time and Kit Valo.
