Manu Williams is a German multidisciplinary artist based in Austin, Texas, whose practice spans photography, collage, digital media, and AI-assisted work exploring nature and the human condition. Williams studied fine arts in the United States, then worked as a creative engineer in interactive media before returning to the visual arts during the pandemic.
In the photographic work, Williams uses a slow-shutter technique to capture motion and light across natural and urban environments, transforming ordinary scenes into layered abstractions. Of this method, Williams has said: “When I go into the wild, I let nature speak. What I capture is the movement of the elements, preserving the dynamism of natural forces like the wind and tuning my camera into a brush.”
