Lucas Lejeune (French, b. 1991) is a multidisciplinary artist working across installation, performance and motion design, whose practice proposes creative ways of emancipation in the face of the automation of society. Based in Strasbourg, he explores questions of animal intelligence and artificial imagination through language systems of his own devising that speak to bodies, territories, memories and collective identities.
He holds a DNAP from HEAR Strasbourg and completed a Master with distinction at ERG in Brussels, and has been a laureate of Ateliers Médicis, RECIT and the Kiwanis Club. His practice has also engaged with the techno scene, particularly spatialized video mapping and real-time video flow control, work he has presented at events across France, Belgium, Switzerland and Hungary.
