Bio
Lisa Orth is an American-based generative artist whose geometric abstractions draw on her background in graphic design and illustration, developed over more than three decades in the creative fields. Orth was the first official Art Director at Sub Pop Records in the late 1980s, designing Nirvana's first records and the label's iconic logo.
Orth began working in Seattle as a graphic designer and art director, and by the late 1980s had also worked for the Center on Contemporary Art and the music magazine The Rocket. Orth later co-founded a Seattle design agency as creative director, where coding was first introduced into the practice, before leaving design in 2007 to become a tattoo artist known for a linework-based style.
