LEEAUX (American, b. 1991) is a surrealist illustrator and painter whose work draws on folklore, mythology and occult literature, moving between fine-line pen illustration and acrylic painting.,He paints largely from imagination, guided by intuition and a recurring interest in cycles of life, death and rebirth.
Leeaux began selling his art in 2013, after a friend bought one of his drawings at a party, and left high school to pursue it full time.He built an early following showing work on the street and at concerts before settling in New Orleans, where he exhibited at Red Rock Gallery and lived between 2016 and 2018.,During this period he co-founded the artist collectives Teamkilleveryone and Milky Way Art Cult, which promoted and featured other artists. He later moved to Las Vegas for three and a half years before founding Abracadabra Gallery, which operates as a physical space in Shreveport, Louisiana.
In 2024 he released Celestial Offering through MakersPlace, timed to coincide with a total solar eclipse and depicting a reclining figure with a torso bursting into starlight, a meditation on life, death and rebirth. The painting forms a trilogy with Twilight and Chariot Ouroboros, joined by companion pieces Dusk and Dawn depicting a pair of lion-like chimera beasts representing night and day.He has since completed the paintings The Delightful Realm of Maya and The Sempiternal Realm of Ragnarök.In February 2026 he released Year Of The Snake, inspired by a New Year's Eve visit to New Orleans and built around themes of fragility, surrender and starting over.
