Lapin Mignon is a French artist based in the United Kingdom who works with watercolor, using digital tools to push the medium into crypto art.She began minting work in 2019 on Editional, an early app for creating and trading limited editions on the blockchain,,and has since been described as the first watercolorist of crypto art.
Her work is built around recurring kawaii-eyed characters she calls the Mignons, rendered in pastel watercolor across series such as AquaBizarre.,In December 2021, with Tagachi, she created Mignonverse, a generative project of hand-drawn watercolor planets deployed on Ethereum. The 7,777 worlds were minted in stages, later gaining animated elements and the ability to interact with one another.In 2021 she was also one of eight Genesis artists for the Mint Gold Dust platform, creating work around the theme of gold dust.
In May 2022 her work appeared in the “Trashart: NFT Garbology” exhibition at Avant Galerie Vossen in Paris,and a piece from AquaBizarre was sold through the auction house Fauve Paris.That November she showed Centre Of The Earth - Back to Genesis at the Crypto and Digital Art Fair, CADAF, in New York.In October 2023 she showed a triptych made with her two young sons, Histoires Naturelles - Il était Une Limace, at the “Golden Age” exhibition at Superchief Gallery in New York.For NFC Lisbon 2024, the Cult of CryptoArt collective commissioned the artist Jaen to direct a mockumentary on crypto art in which she is featured,and she showed a physical watercolor at the group's exhibition with Arab Bank Switzerland in the same city.In December 2025 her work was shown at Art Basel Miami as part of a Superchief exhibition, including on a large screen displayed outside the fair.
