koi art is an artist who makes generative editions combining randomized layers, visual effects, and color palettes, released on fx(hash) on Tezos. In October 2024 he released Circle, a generative collection of 1,024 unique works offered in a Dutch auction on fx(hash). In March 2025 he released parasocial, a generative collection of 150 works reflecting on parasocial relationships.
parasocial is fully randomized: each work combines two to four layers, with each layer rendering one of five types of art, one of four visual effects, and one of 150 color palettes. koi art has described the work as a reflection on parasocial relationships. In the artist's words, such relationships can provide comfort, motivation, and emotional stability, but they can also distort perceptions of reality and lead to emotional dependency. For Circle, he wrote that circles are “Perfectly balanced” and “Perfectly harmonious”, pointing to planets, stars, black holes, and the sun as examples of the shape recurring throughout the cosmos.
