Kidmograph (Argentine, b. 1977) is the working name of Gustavo Fernando Torres, an art director, motion designer and illustrator whose eclectic style blends a nostalgic sensibility with new technology. Experimentation is constant in his work, which spans music videos, live visuals and commissioned art for brands and musicians worldwide.,
He was born in La Plata, and is based in Buenos Aires. After working more than six years in the music video industry, he began working remotely with brands, studios, labels and musicians around the world.His music video work includes films for Mac Miller, The Strokes, Kanye West and Frank Ocean.He has also produced commissioned art and visuals for clients including The Weeknd, Anderson Paak and Justin Bieber, as well as brands such as Apple and Honda.
In 2021 he created COMPLOT [ROBOT GIRL], a science-fiction piece made between the pandemic and the rise of AI that merges human evolution with technological research. The piece opens with an old news broadcast describing a disaster, then imagines humans building a “perfect” AI sentinel by matching a mind trained on human experience to a generic, inert body.
