KidEight, a British graphic designer and 3D digital artist, blends hip hop and street culture imagery with religious and luxury signifiers, from angels in Chanel-emblazoned balaclavas to a Louis Vuitton-branded Shroud of Turin. His practice centers on EVOL, a tattooed, ski-masked cherub adorned with Cuban links and grillz that he created in the late 2010s.
Before working in NFTs he built a career as an album cover and logo designer for major labels including Def Jam, Atlantic and Universal Music Group, and for musicians such as Gucci Mane and French Montana. In 2021 he moved from that client work to building his own art brand on the blockchain around EVOL, releasing it as 1/1 digital artworks, generative profile-picture collections and smaller editions. That year he launched G'EVOLs, an 8,888-piece generative collection that followed his earlier D'EVOL project, and debuted an Anti-Hero series of collector-only editions on Nifty Gateway.
