Oyeniyi Kayode, known professionally as Kaysworks, is a Nigerian multidisciplinary artist working across painting, digital sculpture, photography, and illustration. Kayode's work favors bold color and intricate detail, often exploring everyday human emotion and connection.,Kayode is based in Kaduna, Nigeria.
Kayode has been making art since childhood, drawing on everyday life and personal experience to capture simple, overlooked moments of human connection.,Kayode has been creating for more than 13 years, taking part in more than a dozen international exhibitions and selling more than 50 original works. In 2026 Kayode began Apoti Olowe, a narrative series scheduled across six chapters released between May and October 2026, following a wood carver named Ayo and his lover, Morenike, told through six main paintings, each paired with a set of companion digital sculptures. The series draws directly on Yoruba tradition: its precursor piece, Igbaradi, depicts an arrangement of ornate earthen pitchers, Adire resist-dyed fabric, and a bowl of kolanut, objects tied to Yoruba ceremony and craft that Kayode researched ahead of the series.Kayode has also taken part in group exhibitions through JRNY Gallery, including two open calls won in 2024, “Root 2 Fruit” and “Bloom: A Floral Exploration”.
