Katalina Ooma is a Bulgarian digital illustrator with a background in industrial design who completed a PhD in design in 2018. She paints portraits, crypto logos in a range of styles, and fan art, working primarily in Adobe Photoshop. Her personal project, The Inexplicit, pairs original character portraits with roleplay fiction she began co-writing with a friend during her university studies.
Ooma grew up in a family of teachers and studied fashion design in high school before earning a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Industrial Design at university. After completing her PhD in 2018, she left a stable job to work as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator. Through the Steemit blogging community she was invited that August to test a new digital art marketplace built around proof of authenticity, later known as MakersPlace, and minted her first artwork there on 10 September 2018. She began creating NFTs full time in early 2021.
