Ooma grew up in a family of teachers and studied fashion design in high school before earning a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Industrial Design at university. After completing her PhD in 2018, she left a stable job to work as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator. Through the Steemit blogging community she was invited that August to test a new digital art marketplace built around proof of authenticity, later known as MakersPlace, and minted her first artwork there on 10 September 2018. She began creating NFTs full time in early 2021.¹

Ooma has produced derivative portraits of characters from Yam Karkai's World of Women, as well as fan art based on the video game Warframe. Her piece Elegance in Red reimagined World of Women #2678 from the verified collection and was named one of 18 finalists in the second World of Women Art Contest.¹
