Bio
Joshua Stevenson is a Vancouver-based sound engineer and media artist who has worked in audio recording, mixing, mastering and post-production sound for more than two decades. Outside his mastering work he makes experimental music and video and generative visual art, performing and releasing under the name magneticring.
Stevenson interned at Ardent Studios in Memphis in 1994 and has since mastered albums for independent labels including Sublime Frequencies, Siltbreeze and Akuphone. His mastering credits include Cindy Lee's Diamond Jubilee (2024), which Pitchfork included on its list of the best albums of 2024, as well as records by Alvarius B. of Sun City Girls and by Bernardino Femminielli.
