Jon Uriarte is a London-based digital artist who blends street photography with AI-generated reinterpretations. He trains custom AI models on his own street photographs to explore memory and how places are remembered. His work draws on a career of more than 15 years in the film and TV industries. He holds a master's degree in Arts and Technologies of Image from Paris VII University.
Uriarte's series A Neighbourhood is based on street photographs he took in spring 2025 around Ridley Road Market in Dalston, East London. He sorted the photographs by subject and mood and trained custom LoRA models on the groups. He then generated variations with FLUX in ComfyUI. In his words, the new images are not meant to replace the street photography but to exist in parallel with it, as alternate memories. The work was included in the Paris exhibition for Issue No. 2 of The AI Art Magazine, alongside works by Kevin Abosch, Julien Bonet and Grit Wolany.
