The Korean-American artist Jisu, whose full name is Jacqueline Choe, makes paintings and NFT works that draw on a background in character design. The debut collection The Fates, released on Nifty Gateway in 2023, reimagined Greek mythology through paintings that each interpret the concept of fate.
Later that year Jisu joined the inaugural DFZ Squad, assembled by Deadfellaz Labs in partnership with MetaMask, to document Web3 culture in Seoul for the content series Culture On-Chain. The following February, Jisu contributed to “Purity Dolls”, an online exhibition and live performance presented by Sam J and OONA at Unit London during London Fashion Week that examined how blockchain and fashion shape the value placed on the female body. Unit London's web3 catalog also lists a further Jisu work from that year, Y3K, as a unique NFT original.
