He earned a Bachelor of Music in composition at Taipei National University of the Arts in 1997, a Master of Fine Art in New Media there in 2007, and a PhD in computer science from National Taiwan University in 2014.² He has been an assistant professor at National Tainan University of the Arts since 2018, and directed Taiwan's C-Lab sound lab from 2019 to 2020.^1,2 In 2021 he began making generative art on fxhash after being introduced to NFTs by the artist Aluan Wang.³

His fxhash collection Alley (2021), made with p5.js, builds its scenes from simple lines. In the same year he released forsaken, a 150-edition fxhash collection built from two features, a color mode and an object mode, whose palettes evoke different times of day along a shoreline.³ He followed it in 2022 with Cloud Atlas on fxhash, and then with Requiem: Cloud, a 256-edition fxhash collection built on Cloud Atlas's code with 103 color sets, three frame types, three fragment types, and two dyeing types.⁴ His collection Metaphysics, released on Art Blocks, is a generative system meant to simulate an organic world and evoke qi, the life force in Chinese thought, through gradually deforming, shifting, and rotating forms inspired by the Tai Chi movement Cloud Hand.⁵

For Art Basel Hong Kong in 2022 he took part in an interactive generative art installation alongside artists including Sarah Ridgley, Marcelo Soria-Rodriguez, Ryan Bell, and Aluan Wang, which generated and gifted new editions to visitors' wallets in real time as they scanned a QR code in the exhibition space.⁶ He was included in the group exhibition “Arithmetic Phenomena” on Verse, presented by curator Ronen Tanchum.⁷ In 2024 his work was shown in “dialog() - Asian Generative Art Exhibition”, a touring show with stops in Tokyo, Taipei, Seoul, and Beijing.⁸
