Jesperish (Dutch, b. 1996) is a digital artist who builds symbolic, architecture-based worlds he calls the “ancient future”, blending monumental, ceremonial-feeling structures with a sense of advanced technology.,Raised in the Netherlands by a painter mother and a musician father, he experiences synesthesia, seeing visuals when he hears music or feels strong emotion, and traces his melancholic, spiritual visual language to that sensitivity.
He began making digital art around age nine or ten, experimenting in Photoshop CS2 on his father's work laptop and creating fan art for online gaming communities. From 2009 he shared timelapse videos of his process online, building communities and organizing events to support emerging artists. He studied Multimedia Design and then Interactive Game and Architecture Design at Breda University of Applied Sciences.,
In 2021 his digital painting The burden which is well borne becomes the light sold to the collector Cozomo de' Medici and was displayed in Times Square, New York, as part of the Medici Collection. His work has since appeared at Sotheby's and Christie's, including a sale of Embracing the Citadel's Challenge for 6 ETH ($10,984) at Christie's New York in 2024, and he has collaborated with studios including Marvel.,
His 2025 project NETRA, released through NINFA, is built around the recurring motif of an eye and stages what he calls a visual and spiritual pilgrimage through perception, comprising a one-of-one auction and 100 fully pre-sold works. Of the piece he has written, “We are all living mirrors”.
