Finnish artist Jenni Pasanen (b. 1993) combines digital and traditional art methods into one visual language through movement and visual storytelling. Her path began in traditional art and continued through years of independent making, formal design studies and a professional career in design and animation. That background gave her a strong sense of structure, movement and narrative, while also pushing her beyond fixed categories and toward a practice built from many fields at once. Pasanen develops her work through both traditional and digital methods, using them as part of the same practice. She sees every old and new tool as an opportunity and extension that enriches her craft. Concepts of time and movement remain central to her work. Jenni builds her work from curiosity, observation and accumulated knowledge of art, science, design, technology, the human condition and lived experience. These multiple interests have built her unique craft, which has led to her work being shown in over 30 international exhibitions, including Paris, New York and Tokyo.
