Jean Helfenstein is a French creative technologist based in Los Angeles. He is the co-founder of Black Rainbow, a boutique design studio that designs and develops interactive experiences. Projects from the studio have won multiple FWA Site of the Day awards, an Awwwards Site of the Day, and a Webby Award.
Earlier in his career, he created the web project Rot.Sketch, featured by CreativeApplications.Net in 2011. Capitol Couture won an FWA Mobile of the Day, an FWA Site of the Day, a Webby Award, and a Silver Key Art Award. NightCrawler won both an FWA Site of the Day and an Awwwards Site of the Day. Other recognized projects include The Divergent Series: Insurgent, Erudite: Sim-Test, Earth to Echo, and Welcome To The Experiment, each honored with an FWA Site of the Day.
