Jarid Scott, who works under the name jrdsctt,is a digital artist, graphic designer and photographer based in Salt Lake City, Utah.Born in Minneapolis,he makes glitch art using techniques such as pixel sorting and databending,treating the ASDF pixel-sorting script the way a painter uses brush strokes.
In 2020 Scott created Glitchtober, a list of 31 daily prompts inviting glitch artists to make one work a day through October. Fellow glitch artist Kate the Cursed has called him a mentor figure.As a curator for MakersPlace, he featured Volker Hermes's Animalis Poyledae XV in the exhibition “Kind of Cthulhu”.He later joined the production team behind “Protocol Decay: Marfa 2025”, a group show held in Marfa, Texas during Art Blocks Weekend 2025.He was also a producer of an X Spaces panel on avatars and digital identity in art, co-hosted by ART&VAULT and TAEX.
In 2022 he released ŧɇȼħ nøɨɍ on MakersPlace, a collection of four multi-edition pieces and one unique work. The pieces combine AI-generated imagery with glitch techniques such as pixel sorting and databending into bright, dystopic scenes. Their mood draws on the song Tech Noir, a collaboration between the band GUNSHIP and filmmaker John Carpenter that nods to the science fiction genre of films such as Blade Runner and The Terminator.In 2024 he was one of the curated artists in “We're Your Huckleberry – Act 1”, an exhibition on MakersPlace and Animus built around Val Kilmer's memoir.That same year he released MOONN O))) on MakersPlace, ten unique pieces minted through TransientLabs' ERC-7160TL contract that continue his interest in artistic evolution and personal reinvention through digital abstraction and bold color.Fellow glitch artist sgt_slaughtermelon has reworked his pieces with custom gradient maps for a joint MakersPlace project called the Jareddd "Triple D" Scott collaboration.
