Jak, also known as JakNFT, is an anonymous digital artist working in glitch-style crypto art.,He hand-draws imagery before enhancing and animating it digitally, layering drips, scrapes and grainy textures that blur the line between physical and digital art.,His work is primarily minted on Ethereum, though he has also released pieces on Tezos and Bitcoin.,
Jak trained in the visual arts, attending his first art classes in the early 1990s and beginning to experiment with digital art in the early 2000s. He later undertook formal studies in studio art and art history, and during this period also worked anonymously as a street artist on politically themed pieces.,He first learned about NFTs through CryptoKitties in 2017, but only became involved in the space after collecting Hashmasks in 2021, when he began minting his own work. Describing his process, he has said “I generally don't have a preconceived idea in mind and just let the process flow until the work feels complete”.
In 2021 he began minting glitch-style crypto art through his experiments in glitch contract.,,TIGER was minted from a follow-up experiments in glitch 2 contract in 2022 as one of only three 1/1 works, its outline drawn by hand in blue ink on watercolor paper before being digitally animated. It was later featured in Sotheby's “Glitch: Beyond Binary” sale in 2023, alongside works by XCOPY and other glitch artists.,In April 2022 he created 21 ultra-rare glitch-scene backgrounds for the VeeFriends Series 2 collection, saying “You cannot print a piece of glitch art, hang it on a wall and achieve the desired effect”.That year his work also appeared in the “Crossing Over” exhibition at the Seattle NFT Museum, and in 2023 it was shown in Hong Kong during Art Basel Hong Kong as part of “The Sound of Pixels”.In 2025 he minted CAPITULATE as Meme #360 in The Memes collection, in an edition of 328.
He has also worked with Hiroji Kotegawa on OGs by JakNFT x Kotegawa, a limited-edition profile-picture series blending both artists' styles, and on SZNS by JakNFT x Kotegawa, 888 works combining pixel art, glitch and sound. In 2025 he also took part in the “Protocol Decay” group show at Nox Gallery, presented as part of NFT Japan.
