Ismahelio is a Spanish architect and generative artist who fuses geometry, architecture and code, describing his approach as “ARTchitecture”.Trained in parametric and generative design, he has lived and worked in Spain, Mexico, India, China and Hong Kong, drawing on each place in his work.,His process moves between paper sketches and code, generating hundreds of iterations before settling on a final piece.
He began minting on Hic et Nunc in 2021, and his first piece sold within minutes of being posted. In Non Spaces, he sketched elevations of impossible buildings in a minimalist style and added an evolving feature: each token tracks its own minting date, and its rendered vegetation grows the longer its owner holds it. By March 2022 Non Spaces had traded a combined 13,500 Tezos, about $50,000, on the secondary market. In 2022 he also co-created Proxima with the artist mrkswcz, released on the platform fxhash.
In June 2023 he released Invisibles on the platform Art Blocks, a fixed edition of 200 works depicting fantastical cities and unreal architecture. The series was inspired by Italo Calvino's novel Invisible Cities and rooted in the atmosphere of Hong Kong, where he had lived for nine years, with a visual style drawing on 18th- and 19th-century architectural engravings.,The pieces are plottable, extending the generative drawings into physical prints. His work has been shown at The Generative Art Museum's virtual gallery, in the exhibition “Issue #01: For the Love of Art”.
