ippsketch is a computer artist and mechanical engineer based in Austin, Texas, who uses code to build precise, minimalist compositions shaped by his background in engineering and R&D. He embraces chance and coding errors, letting them push a piece in unexpected directions, and often threads in themes of personal growth and vulnerability.
By 2022 he was recognised as one of the more established names on fxhash, mentioned by collectors alongside artists such as Zancan and Tyler Hobbs.His Sketch A-F collection on fxhash included Sketch C, whose floor price rose roughly 290 percent from its 10 Tezos mint in 2022.
In July 2023 he contributed Crosstalk to “N=12”, a Feral File show curated by Aaron Penne in which twelve artists across seven time zones made work while in constant dialogue, sharing code and critiquing each other's process over several months.,Crosstalk renders each of the twelve participating artists as one of twelve distinct shapes linked by lines, built from a grid of bold primary colours and forms that reference circuit boards and wooden bead-maze toys, with texture and light stripped away to say as much as possible with as little as possible.
