ileigh is an anonymous, multidisciplinary artist based in New York City who creates AI-assisted work translating poetic language into imagery, drawing on the traditions of vanitas, still life and landscape painting. She minted her first work on the Ethereum blockchain in December 2022, followed by Tezos the next month, and has since shown work on the platforms Objkt and Foundation.
In February 2023 her piece Mon·AI·Lisa placed second in the third Claire Silver AI Contest. Later that year her work appeared in Unit London's group exhibition “E-motions”, curated by Claire Silver, where she used blurs, textures and vibrant colour to depict technology's ability to bring a utopian vision to life.The strawberry-skull imagery in her piece strawberry skull melt | 2 has been cited by fellow artist littlecakes as a possible source for the fruit motifs recurring in her own work.
