Bio

Mert Keskin, known as Haydiroket, is a Turkish digital artist and curator based in Istanbul, working primarily in GIF, video, and collage.^,^, His work merges glitch aesthetics, digital nostalgia, and internet culture, emerging from the Amiga Demoscene of the late 1990s.^,^, His GIFs have been viewed more than 18 billion times on Giphy.

Keskin's work has been exhibited at institutions including the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Museum of the Moving Image, and the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum.^,^, He has collaborated with brands including MTV, Converse, Tumblr, Ferragamo, and Puma.^,^, In 2015, Keskin created a large-format GIFWall for the Digital Art Festival Taipei, part of a traveling exhibition project, and was included in that year's Transnumériques Awards in Mons, Belgium.

Keskin was an active participant in Hic Et Nunc, the early Tezos NFT platform, where Fakewhale has referred to him as its “GIF Maestro”. After HEN's 2021 closure, his work was included in Fakewhale's “RIP HEN IRL” tribute exhibitions, curated by Jesse Draxler at the Valuart Gallery in Lugano-Paradiso in 2021 and 2022. He also took part in Fakewhale's inaugural “ART MARKET Day” on objkt.com in 2024, alongside more than 60 other artists.
