Harm van den Dorpel
Bio

Harm van den Dorpel is a generative artist based in Berlin, recoginized for his pioneering contributions to blockchain-based art. He was the first artist to sell work to a museum in exchange for cryptocurrency, when the Museum of Applied Arts in Vienna acquired 20 pieces from his Event Listeners project. Van den Dorpel's work has been exhibited at leading institutions around the world, including the Museum of Contemporary Art in New York, the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Seoul, The New Museum in NYC, the Ullens Center for Contemporary Art in Beijing, the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw and the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.
