Gül Yıldız is a Turkish photographer who works across three recurring bodies of work: geometric and minimalist portraiture, street and portrait photography, and landscape. She has described photography as a way of life that lets her express her connection to nature, history, different cultures, and to humanity.
Yıldız was born in Uşak, Turkey, and studied engineering at Ankara University before going on to earn degrees in photography, cinematography and radio-and-TV programming at Anadolu University and pursuing graduate study in cinema at Marmara University. In 2015 the International Federation of Photographic Art awarded her its AFIAP distinction, and in 2017 she became one of Fujifilm Global's official X-Photographers. As a Fujifilm instructor she gives private and corporate photography training, and continues to run workshops and provide project consultation as the founder of the Artrospektif Photography Atelier.
