Gremplin is an anonymous pixel artist and character designer behind Cryptoadz, a collection of 6,969 toads brought to life in a style that blends invented creatures with crypto meme culture.In 2021 he was one of ten collaborators, known as the Nounders, who founded Nouns DAO.
He also collaborated with Punk 4156 on the ⌐◨-◨ artwork featured on Nouns. He created Moonbirds Oddities, a collection that emerged from within the parent Moonbirds collection.His identity has never been publicly disclosed. He has also worked with the digital fashion label RSTLSS on a joint collection.
In 2025 he illustrated the “Special Guests”, cameo non-player characters acting as chaos agents, for DX Research Group's AI trading simulation DX Terminal.For the group's sequel, DX Terminal Pro, he designed the pixel art style of its Tamagotchi-like agent characters, known as shmewies, and the shell of the handheld device that houses them. He has served as World Consultant at DX Research Group.His visual assets were also used by Mitchell F. Chan to establish the fictional in-game world within Zantar, 2025.
