gozo is a Spanish artist based in Madrid whose practice spans abstraction and representation across 3D and artificial intelligence, producing symbolic imagery in cyclical motion that reflects on digital materiality and its limits. With a background in digital media, he discovered blockchain in 2021 and works with the unstable, low-resolution outputs of early AI image generators as raw material for his compositions.
His 2025 series an improbable thread, presented by SOLOS gallery in collaboration with Artie Galerie, works from early Stable Diffusion outputs, treating their glitches and artifacts as clay to be cut, layered and reshaped rather than errors to be corrected.,“For this series, I begin with images that intrude upon my memory again and again. They are not memories, but apparitions”, gozo has said, describing how recollections that return again and again, deformed by time, eventually harden into personal symbols.
