GMUNK is a digital artist, live-action director and motion designer whose work takes the form of short films, installations, digital art, data visualisations, music videos and title sequences. His work combines psychedelic themes with richly textured palettes and often centres on identity, the subconscious and the human connection to technology. He applies a foundation in motion design to digital, photographic, cinematic, sculptural, robotic and volumetric techniques.
In 2013 GMUNK design directed BOX, a projection-mapping short film made with Bot & Dolly in San Francisco. The film won awards including the Cannes Grand Prix and Siggraph's Best in Show. He designed the holographic content for the films Tron: Legacy and Oblivion, and designed the Microsoft Windows 10 desktop wallpaper. His full-spectrum photography series InfraMunk has been published in outlets including Fubiz, DesignBoom and Engadget. His commercial clients have included Nike, Samsung, Audi and Sony.
