In 2008 he won the Prix Ars Electronica for a music video he made for Peter Gabriel entirely out of programming and algorithms, and another of his videos appeared on Gabriel's Best Of DVD compilation. He has also collaborated with Gabriel on his concert stadium visuals. In 2022 his AI-generated short film The Crow became the first work of its kind to win at the Cannes Short Film Festival. He is the lead AI animator at Kinetek Studios and is represented by Kinetek Gallery.¹

His work draws on science, nature and meditative, abstract imagery, developed over more than 20 years of self-coded films and interactive mobile apps, including the 2009 iPhone project Zio.^1,2 He has exhibited across Europe and New York, and received the Major Individual Award, the Arts Council of Northern Ireland's highest recognition for artists in the country.¹
