Bio

Gin is a Japanese generative artist who makes fractal-based digital artworks using p5.js and Processing,^, applying techniques such as the chaos game algorithm, L-systems and Perlin noise to generate recursive geometric forms.^, Gin releases work on Tezos through the platform fxhash,^, and participated in fxhash's Tribute to Herbert W. Franke project.

The work Chrono 彩雲-saiun- #06, 2022, was reproduced in Right Click Save, and Fractal in the words #6 is presented on Gin's profile at Kate Vass Galerie, a gallery that shows Tezos-based digital art. Gin has written technical tutorials explaining these methods, including a chaos-game approach to drawing fractals and an L-system method for generating tree-like forms,^, and has described experimenting with rendering forms using only the line() function.

Gin was named among a wave of Japanese artists, including Kazuhiro Tanimoto, ykxotkx, A-Mashiro and Saeko Ehara, who built international audiences for NFT art by publishing information about their work in English from the start.
