Bio

Genresis is the personal brand of Hendrik Väli, a graphic designer, web designer and creative director with more than twenty years of experience. He studied graphic design at the Estonian Academy of Arts and the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, and later architecture and urban design at the Estonian Academy of Arts.^,

In the early 2000s he made tiny pixel-by-pixel animated GIFs using Microsoft Paint and Animagic GIF. He then set the practice aside until, years later, an interest in blockchains and AI led him to the Tezos art scene, which opened a new period of creative output for him. Alongside his art practice, he has worked as a graphic and software designer, including as founder of Õhusõiduk from 2011 to 2017, and has served as creative director at Star Cloud since 2015.
