Bio
gengoya, whose given name is Ferdi Trihadi, is an illustrator based in Fukuoka, Japan. They created the Gengoya project to teach Japanese language and culture through illustration, running a Patreon community that shares downloadable Japanese learning materials and lets members vote on which topics it covers.
They also designed Gengoya Cards, a matching card game in which players pair Black and Red cards and say each match aloud to help remember it. Under the name BWEEPS, they produce pen-plotter illustrations sold as signed, numbered prints.
