Flygohr is a digital artist whose fantasy, science-fiction and cyberpunk illustration carries an unapologetic punk style, much of it released as generative NFT projects on Tezos. He trained in art school after a childhood spent drawing comics and inventing small trading card games, then freelanced professionally as an illustrator of comics, character designs and fantasy artwork after finishing high school. He is based in Italy.
He began minting on Tezos in early 2021, drawn first by low transaction fees that let him experiment and then by the community he found on the early platform hic et nunc. His first project, PUNKDOE, was a punk-themed roleplaying game built around burnable Upgrade Cards, an idea suggested by fellow artist Stefj. Later in 2021 he launched Tezos Pirates, a generative project in which collectors burned a DOUBLOON token so that a pirate character would be generated and minted from the resulting transaction hash. The idea was inspired by Shig!'s mysteryfish, and Tezos Pirates went on to inspire further generative projects in the Tezos community, including orderandchaos's Drone Squadrons.
In September 2021 he launched PRJKTNEON, a collection of 666 generative cyberpunk avatar characters minted on Tezos, a project he had been developing since joining the network earlier that year. He wrote and illustrated the collection's cyberpunk storyline himself and planned to develop its story further together with the project's community, while the platform objkt.com helped set up its smart contract. His generative work continued to appear on Tezos platforms, including a series launched at the January 2022 debut of the platform ArtForge. He also writes and designs games for Nuradan, a fantasy worldbuilding project.
