Flora Márquez is an Argentine illustrator, comic artist, and storyteller whose work blends an ongoing autobiographical comic diary with the invented mythology of the imaginary country Morondanga Republik. Beginning in 2021 on the Hic et Nunc platform, she has released Morondanga Republik as a collection of postage stamps that tell the story of that country.
Márquez has drawn since childhood and works as a graphic designer alongside her art practice. She entered the NFT space in August 2021, when her friend, the artist Tornado Rodríguez, asked what she knew about NFTs, and she began exploring Hic et Nunc that same night. Selling art in Argentina had been difficult, and she has said NFTs made it possible to earn money from her work for the first time.
