Farrah Carbonell is an American digital artist whose practice explores presence, embodiment and opacity through restrained still and time-based images. Working with generative systems informed by photography and cinema, she treats digital tools as an extension of photographic thinking rather than an end in themselves. Her images favor ambiguity and slowness over spectacle, letting bodies, faces and gestures hold atmosphere and memory without narrative resolution.
Carbonell frames this approach as Post-Realism, exploring memory, identity and perception through generative tools grounded in philosophical inquiry. Her portfolio includes the works SASKIA & DOUTZEN and Doppelgänger, alongside the SuperRare release Post-Realism: An Opening. Her work has been shown in group and curated exhibitions including “The Code”, a 2024 curated immersive exhibition at Kanvas in Dubai, the 2024 citywide digital activation “Elevision”, also in Dubai, and “AI Film 3” at the Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum in Arizona in 2025.
