Brarez, whose given name is Fabrizio Barachino,is a painter who tokenizes their physical canvases on the Tezos blockchain.In their own words, they use the blockchain “not to escape the physical world, but to extend it”, since each canvas exists as both matter and memory.
Brarez also writes and curates a recurring editorial feature called Seen by Brarez, profiling artists working on Tezos.Editions have profiled the artist Luciana Guerra, described in one write-up as navigating the space between surrealism and abstraction,as well as the artists Mattia Cuttiniand Maria Fynsk Norup.In their write-up on Cuttini, Brarez also noted that some of the selected works came from pieces they had collected themselves.After one such piece, Maria Fynsk Norup wrote that they felt “grateful” for what they called an incredible article about their work.
